Tigrinya Symposium on Language, Literature, and Culture

We, the organizing committee, are pleased to announce the call for papers for the Tigrinya Symposium on Language, Literature, and Culture that will take place on March 9th, 2024 at Santa Clara University, California. Tigrinya is a language spoken in the Horn of Africa, namely in Eritrea and Tigray (Ethiopia). This symposium will link the Tigrinya language, literature, and culture with the objective of creating a platform for academic exchange of the rich Tigrinya linguistic features, wider literature, and the cultural nuance that underline characteristic features of Tigrinya speakers in the Horn of Africa. Hence, this platform will provide a forum for researchers, scientists, students, and other interested individuals in the public to discuss new ideas, results of research works and work in progress, and more on aspects of Tigrinya language, literature, and culture.
