Abstract

The City of Santa Clara, as outlined in its recent Climate Action Plan, set goals to decarbonize all of its electricity by 2035 while simultaneously reducing the energy burden for income-qualified residents [1].

The following research was conducted to inform the equitable creation of a new Shared Solar Program for Income-Qualified Multifamily Housing Residents in the City of Santa Clara. Such a program would address the City’s Climate Action goals while serving its community members most in need.
