Abstract
In the face of climate change, weather events will become more frequent and severe. While heat adaptations have been explored, no such relationship between urban heat islands (UHI) within Santa Clara and specific applications of green infrastructure has been investigated. This policy brief aims to investigate the benefits and feasibility of heat adaptation solutions that will improve the urban environment and public health of the most vulnerable neighborhoods in Santa Clara. For Santa Clara, implementation of solar panel parking lots and green roofs should be prioritized.
