About This Journal
The
Silicon Valley Sociological Review (SVSR) is an academically-reviewed publication of student research in sociology at Santa Clara University. Since 2002, students have submitted their best scholarship to the journal (originally the
Silicon Valley Notebook). Successful submissions are academically rigorous, and incorporate recent scholarly work in a cohesive, succinct, and readable article that provides ample evidence for any claims, and cites relevant academic research. Pieces included in the
SVSR offer thoughtful analyses of sociological themes in the form of full-length journal articles, research notes, theoretical reflections, or visual depictions.
