Abstract

Exploring new restaurants has always been a difficult task, with our recommendation application we strive to design and implement a way to discover new restaurants from recommendations generated from a user's friend group. We decided to pursue this project because we found that there was a real need for an application that focused on new restaurant discovery. Our project incorporates various features, which allows users to recommend restaurants to those who are following the user, leave comments or a particular restaurant, recommend particular dishes, follow friends, and create collections of various different restaurants that you would recommend to your friends. Throughout this report, you will learn about the design process that we followed, our motivation to create this project, and our successes in designing our restaurant recommendation application.
