Abstract

Santa Clara Universitys annual Club Fair is one of the key events student organizations attend to generate visibility and recruit new members. In order for these organizations to track interested students, a majority ask potential members to either write their contact information on physical sign-up sheets or type the information into an Excel spreadsheet. With the number of organizations and students in attendance, this preliminary registration process is both tedious and inefficient. In order to alleviate this problem, we propose to create a mobile application and web portal that utilizes QR code technology to instantly connect interested students to an organization.
