Abstract
This paper documents a customer-facing application with a smart backend that enables shared-rent households to easily communicate, split expenses and keep their house organized. Many people living in shared-rent households struggle with arguments over financial matters, conflict over organization, and have constant miscommunications. There are many existing solutions, but they tend to focus on solving one aspect of shared living, instead of solving all aspects with one application. Our solution is primarily used as a mobile application, but also runs on Amazon Alexa for easy access at all times. Additionally, our smart backend automatically suggests housemates to complete tasks based on previous history. This complete solution takes the pain out of shared living, leaving only the benefits such as reduced rent, and the ability to live with friends.
