Abstract
This senior design thesis is aimed at working with an organization named Grupo Para Promever la Educacion y Desarollo Sustenable (Group to Promote Education and Sustainable Development) (Grupedsac) in Oaxaca, Mexico. Grupedsac is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that promotes education and sustainable development in different regions of Mexico. Their headquarters are in Mexico City, but they have developed a site in Oaxaca near the township of Ejutla. This location is known as Instituto Tonantzin Tlalli. The organization is focused on generating environmental awareness, self-reliance, self-development and productivity including the appreciation and use of natural resources, specifically in rural and impoverished areas.
