Abstract

Is your library considering the “information commons” model? Come and hear about some of the successes and challenges that Santa Clara University has experienced. In this interactive program, we will explain why we decided to redesign the Information Commons after five years and how we went about it. This session will delve into topics such as consolidation of service desks, students’ changing expectations, alternative models for reference, and the importance of assessment before implementing changes.
