Abstract
This book provides a discussion of the “Three Strikes and You’re Out” law’s history, content, and effects that could be useful to readers who are not already well-versed in the law’s details. Kieso has compiled data on the usage of the law in several counties, and he relates several anecdotes to illustrate perceived injustices associated with the law. Although the author does not seek to offer a balanced analysis, he does introduce the reader to nearly every available criticism of Three Strikes, along with suggested proposals for addressing problems associated with the law.
