Abstract
If the goal is superior performance, the winning bet will be on cooperation over competition and individual achievement every time. Competition almost never results in the best performance; neither does going it alone. Pursuing excellence is a collaborator's game. Collaboration is the critical competency for achieving and sustaining high performance in the Internet Age. It won't be the ability to fiercely compete, but the ability to lovingly cooperate, that will determine success. In fact, the Internet was created so that people could more effectively collaborate!
