Abstract
The main purpose of this project is to design a large format LED display screen that is both easy to use and more affordable than conventional large pixel displays. The major issues with large LED signs and displays are cost, scalability, and versatility. Luminant Display is a large pixel, ultra-bright light-emitting diode (LED) display that uses printed circuit board (PCB) technology at its foundation, which is a more versatile and reliable design over other large pixel displays. The use of PCB technology in Luminant Display's design allows it to be easily scalable, cost effective, and easy to produce. What makes Luminant Display unique is the combination of electrical, computer, and mechanical engineering design to create a beautiful and customizable product that is capable of displaying any type of content ranging from stunning visualizations, video, audio, logos, and text. Additionally, this project's technology has shown the potential for use in vision testing in the healthcare field. Luminant Display is a product many can use to make life easier and convenient, as well as more enjoyable.
