Abstract

The Tanzania Education Graphing, Ranking, and Mapping system summarizes Tanzanian educational data (such as grades) into concise and easy-to-understand visuals. The website utilizes a responsive layout for an optimized mobile experience and has a main page that gives the user instructions on how to utilize the site. The user can also navigate to either the graph or map page. On the graph page, the user may select the location of a school, apply various filters to his or her query, and then view the resulting educational data in the form of graphs. On the map page, the user may view a regional map of Tanzania where the educational performance of different regions is indicated by color. The user may click on each region to view slightly more detailed information. Overall, the website has proven to be satisfactory based on the reception from our user testing.
